Not-so-typical Week 2
Here’s a quick guide to how to start your study abroad:
The first and MOST important step: Don’t get pneumonia.
Step 2: Don’t ignore advice on going to the doctors.
Step 3: Well done, you’re doing it wrong, you got pneumonia.
Step 4: Maybe faint once or twice.
Step 5: Go to the botanical gardens instead of the doctors.
Step 6: Finally go to the doctors and get sent to hospital.
Step 7: Make life easier by not speaking a word of Danish.
Step 8: Be prepared for temperature to be taken multiple times a day… y’know up there.
Step 9: Be told it’s not pneumonia but still have no idea what it is.
Step 10: Get the entirety of England to fly over and make sure you’re okay.
So yes, instead of starting my classes like everybody else, I decided to check out the Danish health care system and take a trip to the hospital for a few days (and still counting). Hopefully at some point I will be STUDYING abroad. For now, it’s back to napping.
