So what is it all about?
Sophie's Journey is a registered charity, begining in 2016 following the sad loss of its founder – 12 year old Lincolnshire schoolgirl, Sophie Robinson.
Sophie's battled against Medullablastoma, whilst selflessly raising thousands for Childhood Cancer causes. Sophie was a talented dancer, but her illness left her incapable of being able to care for herself or her passion.
Sophie's mum made a promise to her daughter that nobody would have to go through what she was going through. Unable to fulfil this promise, Sophie's mum Stacy Southwell devised a mission statement for Sophie's Journey.
Since January of last year Sophie's family and friends have been raising funds to place two static caravans at Golden Sands in Mablethorpe.for young people aged up to 18 years of age and living with the effects of cancer to use for free holidays with their families. Within 12 months enough money was raised for Sophie's Journey to buy their first caravan and three families have enjoyed a weeks respite, since its public opening in March 2017.
Sophie's Journey is now raising funds towards an advanced second caravan, which accommodates the needs of children and teenagers with similar physical effects to what Sophie experienced.
Bridge Street will be laying on food and Drinks as normal. Sophie's Journey will be holding a raffle with pizes such as;
